Given the upcoming holiday and a favorable weather forecast, Metro-North is adding service to the Breakneck Ridge station on Friday, April 18.

On Friday, seven northbound trains departing Grand Central Terminal (GCT) between 6:46 a.m. and 12:35 p.m. will stop at Breakneck Ridge. Five southbound trains will stop between 3:10 p.m. and 7:18 p.m. to take riders home. Trains will also make their regularly scheduled stops at Breakneck Ridge on Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20.

Riders can check schedules on the TrainTime app, mta.info, or by calling 511.

As previously announced, Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail Inc. (HHFT) is closing Breakneck Ridge and other area trails, along with the Breakneck Ridge station, for two years beginning April 21, 2025 as part of the first phase of construction of the Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail, a 7.5-mile linear park connecting Hudson Highlands State Park Preserve trailheads between Cold Spring and Beacon.
