Happy Friday! It's the last weekend in March and the start of baseball season, and the MTA is always the best way to get to Citi Field or Yankee Stadium. We celebrated the beginning of the season with a nostalgia ride to the Yankees home opener this week, and we have another coming up next Friday for the Mets if you're looking for a festive way to get to the game.

Major subway service changes
trains, Brooklyn and Manhattan
From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday:

Long Island Rail Road service changes
Babylon Branch
Babylon Branch trains are running on a reduced schedule from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Monday because of switch replacement.
- Trains are running between Penn Station and Babylon. For service to/from Grand Central, transfer at Jamaica.
- Many Montauk Branch trains are extended to/from Jamaica to provide additional service at Babylon.

West Hempstead Branch
West Hempstead Branch trains aren't running between Valley Stream and West Hempstead in either direction from 12 a.m. Saturday to 2 a.m. Monday because of crossing rehabilitation.
- For service between Valley Stream and West Hempstead, take shuttle buses.
- For service to/from St. Albans, take Babylon Branch trains, which are stopping at this station.
- West Hempstead Branch trains are running between Grand Central and Valley Stream.
Metro-North Railroad service changes
Port Jervis Line
Trains aren't running between Suffern and Port Jervis from 12:30 a.m. Saturday to 11:59 p.m. Sunday because of track work and bridge maintenance.
- Buses connect Ramsey-Route 17 station with all stops between Sloatsburg and Port Jervis.
- For service to Hoboken and New York from Otisville and Salisbury Mills, consider using nearby Middletown or Harriman stations instead.
- Only local bus service, which does not connect with trains at Ramsey-Route 17, is available at Otisville and Salisbury Mills.
- Trains are running between Hoboken and Suffern on a modified schedule with no express trains.
