A Look Back: Ten Years of Digital Art at Fulton Center
A Look Back: Ten Years of Digital Art at Fulton Center
About the project
Since 2014, MTA Arts & Design has presented dozens of inventive Digital Art commissions Fulton Center, a unique venue for new media. Inclusive of digital video, computer software generated, stop-motion animation, digital animation, and dynamic multi-media collage processes, this award-winning program transforms the Fulton Center transportation hub into a premier site for artwork each hour. To celebrate the last decade of Fulton Center as a venue for digital artwork, three previous projects will cycle throughout the day on the station complex’s 52 screens. Ezra Wube’s Fulton Flow, Sarah Rothberg & Marina Zurkow’s WHAT IS HAPPENING, and Motmomichi Nakamura’s NYC 3000 each prominently feature Fulton Center’s architectural and geographic space.
