D/M/WBE Connection Website
Home Page
Welcome to the NYC Transit (NYCT) Procurement website committed to harvesting procurement opportunites and business relationships for certified minority, woman-owned and disadvantaged firms.
The focus of this website is to provide the information and opportunity necessary to spark these connections. This mission cannot be successful if the effort is one-sided. The following sections provide a brief overview of your requirements.
Get On The NYCT Bidders List
We encourage all vendors interested in doing business with NYCT to get on our bidders list. This process requires the completion of the NYCT On-Line Bidder List Registration. Your submitted application must include your federal tax identification number and a valid email address. Once you have recieve an confirming e-mail with your NYCT PIN and password, you must then select the bidders lists you want to be placed on from the NYC Transit Bid List Codes for Materials (PDF file) and NYC Transit's Bid List Codes for Services (PDF file) and submit them to us on the NYC Transit Bidder List Maintenance Form. All future updates to your NYCT vendor profile, especially your contact's e-mail address, must be done on our Vendor Information Update Website.
Become A Certified D/M/WBE
Vendors who are disadvantaged, minority or woman-owned business enterprises (D/M/WBE) are urged to become DBE and/or MBE/WBE certified. MTA and its agencies participate in the federally mandated New York State Unified Certification Program (NYSUCP), which provides for "one-stop" DBE certification. DBE certification can be obtained through the MTA Office of Civil Rights (OCR) or through New York State Department of Transportation, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey or Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority, all Certifying Partners in the NYSUCP. Vendors wishing to apply for DBE certification with OCR must complete the MTA Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program Certification Application (PDF file).
Empire State Development, Division of Minority and Women Business Development, administers the Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) state certification program. Vendors wishing to apply for MBE or WBE certification must complete the New York State Certification Application (PDF file).
NYCT Prime Contractor & D/M/WBE Sub-Contractor Connection System
The Sub-Contractor Connection has evolved to become the more automated NYCT Prime Contractor & D/M/WBE Sub-Contractor Connection System. The main feature of this new system provides plan holders with electronic notifications when a DMWBE firm expresses sub-contracting interest. In addition, the system's ability to sort the DMWBE firms by the service they provide allows us to market DMWBE firms for other non-MTA related projects. Only NYCT bidder list registered DMWBE firms and prime contractors will have access to the full potential of the Sub-Contractor Connection System's matchmaking components.
Please contact us if you have any question or suggestions that you feel may enhance this initiative.
