Bus Operator Applicants - Exam No. 3101

APPLICATION PAYMENT PROBLEMS:
We are aware of the issues that some customers experienced when paying the application fee for this exam online. An email was sent to all applicants who did not pay on March 14, 2013 instructing them how to submit payment.
If you did not pay and did not receive an email, please call (347) 643-7221.
We are currently processing applications and will not be able to confirm whether we received your application or payment at this time.
SELECTION PROCESS:
Applications will be electronically randomized and assigned random list numbers. Applicants will be notified of their random list number by mail within six months of the application deadline. Applicants will be canvassed in order of their random list number to participate in the Bus Operator Selection Survey (BOSS). Applicants should receive their BOSS results approximately eight weeks after taking BOSS. Applicants who are selected based on their BOSS results will be considered for employment in random list number order as vacancies arise. Applicants must successfully complete the following components of the employment process to be appointed:
- Bus Operator Selection Survey (BOSS)
- A driving record review
- Drug test and medical assessment
- Criminal and work record review (failure to disclose prior convictions may disqualify)
RANDOM NUMBER NOTIFICATION: (UPDATED)
We anticipate mailing out random number notification letters by the end of August 2013.
BUS OPERATOR SELECTION SURVEY:
We do not have dates set for candidates to take the BOSS yet. Please check back in September 2013.
