Transit Adjudication Bureau (TAB)

Welcome to the NYC Transit Adjudication Bureau's web pages. This site provides you with information about TAB and its procedure, including the Rules of Conduct and associated fines, how to make a payment, how to dispute a violation in person or by mail, the appeal process, and the language services that we offer.

TAB is responsible for processing summonses issued to individuals who have been alleged to have violated one or more of the rules governing conduct in the use of subway or bus facilities. Violations are issued by NYC Police Officers and/or NYC Transit Inspectors who enforce the Rules of Conduct.
