How to use MTA Bus Time

Click it map Visit MTA Bus Time now and while you're on the go, visit Bus Time on your pda or smartphone.

The Bus Time map shows you where buses are along the route. Zoom in and select the bus nearest your stop and see where buses are in real time.

Want to know your bus stop code? Simply click the stop on the map.

Text your bus stop code or intersection to 511123. We'll text back how many stops away the next bus is.

You can find your bus stop code:
Right here online on the Bus Time interactive map. Zoom in on the map, select the bus nearest your stop, then simply click your stop.
• At bus stops (new bus schedules installed over the next few weeks will highlight the specific bus stop code).

Texting Tips
• For best results, add a specific bus route to your text
• Be sure to insert a space between the bus stop code or intersection, and the bus route
• Texts are not case sensitive.

Each bus stop has its own unique QR (Quick Response) code.  Just scan it using a smartphone equipped with a QR reader app.  The QR code is located on the bottom of the new bus schedule.
