Public Involvement Process
The public involvement process provides the public with an opportunity to be a direct participant in the project. Through a variety of mechanisms, including this website, the process provides all the project's stakeholders with information about the project. In addition, it allows the public to understand SBS concepts and implementation issues, so that the public can help the Project Team develop a cost-effective and efficient SBS implementation program.

Members of the public discussing potential corridors with the project
team at a Staten Island Public Workshop.
During December 2004, January 2005, and June 2006 public workshops were held in each borough. The meetings were generally well-attended featuring a lively discussion of the potential BRT corridors. The Corridors under consideration in each borough were presented and discussed. The project team continues to meet with Community Boards and neighborhood groups. Please contact us if your group would like a presentation.
