Metro-North's 6th Annual Fall Foliage Rail Excursion
This autumn join MTA Metro-North Railroad for our 6th Annual Fall Foliage Excursion along the scenic Hudson River on Saturday October 24, 2009. Ride a private Metro-North train from Grand Central Terminal and travel to the historic village of Cold Spring, New York. The first 200 adult reservations receive a free Metro-North Group Travel tote bag.
Enjoy narration by our Group Travel hosts, who will offer delightfully informative details during the 70-minute trip.
At Cold Spring you can browse the specialty shops brimming with antiques, toys, clothes, candles, and more. Take a break from shopping and stop by one of the many restaurants along Main Street or relax at Mayor's Park where you can soak up the lovely views of the Hudson River, Hudson Highlands, and Storm King Mountain. Remember to bring a camera!
There is plenty of time to fully enjoy Cold Spring—The Fall Foliage train departs from Grand Central at 10:15 a.m. and will leave Cold Spring at 4:15 p.m. Stops also will be made at *Harlem-125th Street and Tarrytown for those who would like to join us and are traveling from these areas.
Adult fare is $40 and $10 for children 11 and under. Tickets can only be purchased on Metro-North's Group Travel website at www.mta.info. Go to the Metro-North Railroad home page, select Travel, click on to Group Travel, and then go to Special Excursions. Tickets can only be purchased online through Monday, October 19, 2009.
