Public Hearing: Capital Projects
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) will hold a public hearing to solicit public comment regarding federal funding proposals for MTA New York City Transit and its subsidiaries; MTA Long Island Rail Road; MTA Metro-North Railroad; MTA Capital Construction Company; and MTA Bus Company for the remainder of Federal Fiscal Year 2013 and Federal Fiscal Year 2014 from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) of the U.S. Department of Transportation under one or more of Sections 5307, 5309, 5337, and 5339 of Title 49, United States Code (the Code) and/or funds available for transit use for capital projects under Title I of the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21) or other federal appropriations for the MTA.

Those wishing to be heard must register in advance either online, by mail, or in person at the hearing. Registration in person is permitted at the hearing until 6 p.m. Verbal presentations will be limited to three minutes. A record will be made of comments received provided they are submitted before the close of the hearing.

The MTA will also make the final program of projects available here on its website for Section 5307 funded projects when the FTA awards the Federal Fiscal Year 2014 grant.
The hearing has been scheduled at a location which is accessible to people with a mobility impairment.
An interpreter for hearing impaired people will be available upon advance request.
