Take Metro-North Railroad to Hudson Valley Restaurant Week
November 5-18, 2012

Thunder Ski Weekend

The experience

Looking for great foodie adventures this fall? Relax aboard a Metro-North train and eat well during Hudson Valley Restaurant Week. Of the more than 150 restaurants participating, 70 are located near Metro-North train stations on the Hudson, Harlem, New Haven and Port Jervis lines.

The Hudson Valley has long been a destination for leaf-peeping and pumpkin picking. Once the leaves have fallen, good eating takes center stage. Hudson Valley Restaurant Week offers three-course prix-fixe lunches at $20.95 and dinners at $29.95. And many chefs’ menus include original dishes using the best fresh veggies, fruits, cheeses and meats, all locally-grown in the Hudson Valley.

Restaurants located within walking distance of Metro-North stations include Xaviar’s X2O on the Yonkers City Pier, “42” on top of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in White Plains, Café of Love in Mt. Kisco, Harvest on Hudson in Hastings-on-Hudson, Hudson House River Inn in Cold Spring, Artist’s Palate in Poughkeepsie and Frankie & Johnnie’s Steak House in Rye. Iron Horse Grill in Pleasantville is actually located in the train station.

Organized by The Valley Table, the Hudson Valley’s premiere culinary magazine, Hudson Valley Restaurant Week is sponsored by M&T Bank, WHUD Radio, Millbrook Vineyards, The Gold Standard, Crown Maple, Irving Farm Coffee Company, The Moviehouse, The Journal News, Dutchess County Tourism, Westchester County Tourism and Hudson Valley Bounty.

Reservations for Restaurant Week can be made by visiting s to the www.HudsonValleyRestaurantWeek.com or by calling 845-561-2022.  Please call the restaurants to get directions from the train station.
