IMPORTANT:  RAIL TICKETS ARE VALID FOR TRAVEL UP TO 14 DAYS FROM DATE OF PURCHASE and CAN ONLY BE USED FOR OFF-PEAK TRAVEL.

 

As you can see, you have received two tickets:  a round-trip rail ticket and a special event ticket marked “MUS NH.”  When you board your Metro-North train, give the conductor your rail ticket.  It will be punched and given back to you.  Make sure to hold onto your rail ticket for your return trip home.

 

When you get to the Museum, redeem your special event ticket marked “MUS NH” at any Advanced Ticket Sales location for a ticket to the space show and general admission to the 46 permanent halls of the Museum, as well as the spectacular Rose Center for Earth and Space. (This ticket is not valid for ticketed special exhibitions or IMAX® films). Space shows run daily, every half-hour from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM, except at noon and 3 PM.  The Rose Center is open daily from 10 AM to 5:45 PM, except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Take the Hudson, Harlem or New Haven Line to Grand Central Terminal.  From there take the following:

Subway: The Shuttle (S) or the 7 train to Times Square.  Transfer to the uptown C train and take it uptown to 81st Street-Museum of Natural History.

Bus: The M42 or M104 (located on 42nd Street, between Park and Vanderbilt Avenues).  If you take the M42, transfer to the M10 at Eighth Avenue, and take it to 79th Street and Central Park West, where the Museum is located.  Or, take the M104 north to 79th Street and Broadway, then walk two blocks east to the Museum.
