LIRR Money Saving Tips

19th Annual Halloween Festival
Children of all ages and their parents are invited to wear costumes as they parade around the historic grounds and shops. See the scarecrows on display; awards presented for best ones. Free mini-pumpkins and trick-or-treat candy at the shops.

Fire Island Lighthouse

Parrish Art Museum's Family Fiesta Day
The Parrish presents its Annual Family Fiesta Day celebrating Latin American culture, heritage and traditions. The day features a wide array of activities including traditional dances, customs, singers, music, art workshop and authentic samplings of food from local Latin restaurants. An event that is sure to entice all your senses.

Thanksgiving Native
American Feast
Ongoing demonstrations and hands-on activities include pottery making,
primitive fire building, Native American artifacts, tool technology including use of an atlatl (a dart throwing device), food
displays and sampling, including the Museum's famous popcorn soup, corn grinding,
films and videos, and face painting with natural pigments.

20th Annual Long Island Festival of Trees
A Long Island tradition, the festival includes displays
of designer trees, wreaths, centerpieces, gingerbread and chocolate creations,
all of which are for sale. On weekends, a vendor section is open for holiday
purchases. Proceeds benefit Nassau County United Cerebral Palsy and the two
museums.

Boat Parade and Holiday Parade
