Buses Replace Some Trains - Montauk Branch - Saturday, November 7

One of two tracks on the MTA Long Island Rail Road’s Montauk Branch between Babylon and Patchogue will be out of service this Saturday, November 7, as work is completed on a renewal project at the Oakdale Avenue grade crossing in Bay Shore.  Some customers will take buses for all or part of their trips between 12:01 AM and 10:01 PM on November 7.

Eastbound
Customers for the 8:28 AM train from Babylon to Speonk, the 12:28 PM train from Babylon to Patchogue, the 5:28 PM train from Babylon to Patchogue and the 9:28 PM train from Babylon to Patchogue will board buses at Babylon to complete their trips to all stations through Patchogue and Speonk.

Additionally, the 8:10 AM from Jamaica to Montauk will depart 12 minutes later, the 12:10 PM from Jamaica to Montauk will depart 25 minutes later.  Customers should anticipate up to 21 minutes increased travel time.

Westbound
Customers for 9:57 AM, 1:57 PM and 5:53 PM trains from Speonk, and the 8:27 PM and 9:27 PM trains from Patchogue will instead board buses at their stations to Babylon where they will board trains to complete their trips.  Most trains will depart between three minutes earlier and ten minutes later.  Customers should anticipate up to 23 minutes increased travel time.
