Ahoy, Maties: MTA LIRR Package to NY  National Boat Show Provides Smooth Sailing for Boaters and Fishermen

Discount of Up to 32% on Admission & Train Fare

The New York National Boat Show is a lifeline for boaters and fishermen, helping them get through the cold weather with daily fishing seminars, tips for green boating, the newest trends in boats and a guest appearance by Twiggy, the water-skiing squirrel...  The MTA Long Island Rail Road provides a warm beacon of light for winter-bound landlubbers, getting them to the Boat Show with no hassles,  calm seas and favorable winds. 

The LIRR discount package includes savings of up to 32% on train fare and Boat Show admission.  The package is $24 for adults in Zones 1-12, $31 for adults in Zone 14.  It’s available from all staffed ticket offices and from blue and grey ticket machines.  Monthly and weekly ticket holders can show their tickets at the LIRR Penn Station Ticket Office and receive a discount voucher for the Boat Show, a savings of four dollars on the regular adult admission ticket.

The Boat Show is at the Jacob Javits Convention Center at 34th Street and 11th Avenue. 

Boat Show hours are as follows:

• Saturday, December 13, 10 AM-8 PM;
• Sunday, December 14, 10 AM-5 PM;
• Monday, December 15 through Friday, December 19,  12 PM-8 PM;
• Saturday, December 20, 10 AM-8 PM;
• Sunday, December 21, 10 AM-5 PM.
