What we're doing
There will be service changes on the line in 2026. Changes will be in effect over the following weekends:
- May 29-June 1
- June 6-7
- June 12-15
- June 19-22
Additionally, weeknight service changes will be in effect at the following times:
- May 4-8
- May 26-28
- June 9-12
- June 15-17
We will provide more detailed service changes and travel alternatives as those become available.
Service changes and travel alternatives
Weeknights, May 4-8
From 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., trains won't run between Hoyt-Schermerhorn Sts and Church Av.
- For service to/from stations between Hoyt-Schermerhorn Sts and Church Av, take trains between Hoyt-Schermerhorn Sts and Jay St-MetroTech, and transfer to/from the .
- trains are running in two sections:
- Between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs.
- Between Bedford-Nostrand Avs and Hoyt-Schermerhorn Sts, every 20 minutes.
Weeknights, May 26-28
From 9:45 p.m. to 5 a.m., trains won't run between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs.
- Overnight from May 26-27, free shuttle buses will make all stops between Bedford-Nostrand Avs and Court Sq and connect to 21 St-Queensbridge while Manhattan-bound trains are rerouted.
- Overnight from May 27-28, free T403 shuttle buses will make all stops between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs.
Weekend, May 29-June 1
From 9:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, trains won't run between Bedford-Nostrand Avs and Church Av.
- Free B93 shuttle buses will make all train stops between Bedford-Nostrand Avs and Hoyt-Schermerhorn Sts and connect to the at Jay St-MetroTech.
- For service to/from stations between Bergen St and Church Av, take the .
- Transfer between shuttle buses and the at Jay St-Metro Tech.
Why we're doing it
Some of these changes are related to our ongoing effort to modernize signals on the line. While service is suspended, our crews will work on installing equipment, including cables, that will support the new signaling system.
Other changes are related to ongoing accessibility improvements and track maintenance, which is necessary to keep the line in a state of good repair—and ensure you have a smooth ride.
