South Ferry Terminal Project
Environmental and Regulatory Process
The South Ferry Terminal project has been conducted pursuant to the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA). Specifically, the DEIS is being prepared in accordance with regulations for implementing NEPA as issued by FTA (49 CFR part 622 and 23 CFR part 771) in conformance with the regulations of the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) (40 CFR parts 1500 - 1508). This project also complies with the requirements of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended, Section 4(f) of the U.S. Department of Transportation Act of 1966, the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990 and other applicable statutes, rules and regulations.
