Capital Construction

MTA Capital Construction is building a new Fulton Street Transit Center at the corner of Fulton Street and Broadway, improving connections to six existing Lower Manhattan subway stations:

Interior

Dey St Concourse

Fulton St 23
Fulton St 45
Broadway-Nassau St AC
Chambers St-WTC E
Fulton St JMZ
Cortlandt St RW

The project will also improve connections to the 1 Line Cortlandt Street Station at the World Trade Center site that will reopen based on the Port Authority's schedule. These improvements will improve travel for hundreds of thousands of daily commuters and Lower Manhattan residents and visitors and better connect the subway with PATH service and the World Trade Center site.

The project includes the creation of a new transit Center facility at the southeast corner of Fulton Street and Broadway, providing improved street level access and visibility. The AC Broadway/Nassau Street Station will have improved mezzanine and platform access resulting in better circulation and reduced overcrowding conditions. A new underground concourse is being built beneath Dey Street connecting the RW lines at Church Street and the 45 lines on Broadway with additional connections to the new PATH Hub, World Financial Center and ferry service. The project also includes an underground passenger connection between the RW Cortlandt Street Station and the E WTC Station.

Construction of the Fulton Street Transit Center is underway and some components of the project have already been opened for customer use, including the rehabilitated 23 Fulton Street Station and new 45 Fulton Street Station southern access stairs.
