Job Title:	Bus Maintenance Supervisor

SUMMARY: Maintenance Supervisors supervise Mechanics and other maintenance and transportation titles performing maintenance, installation, inspection, testing, alteration, shifting and repair of buses and other automotive vehicles and related bus shop equipment; plan work and monitor production levels and trends; use a computerized information system to access data; perform safety assessments and quality audits; perform diagnosis and troubleshooting of bus systems; research technical and material availability problems; perform inspection work and research on new equipment; forecast material, tool and equipment requirements; keep records and write reports. They may operate a bus for testing, evaluation or instruction purposes.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

Three years of experience as a full time journey level mechanic, one of which was spent supervising journey level mechanics.
Graduation from a trade/technical/vocational school or community college with a degree in auto mechanics can be substituted for 1 year of mechanical experience.
By time of appointment, you must have a Class "B" CDL valid in the State of New York or Permit with no restrictions and a passenger endorsement.
You must also pass a drug screening.
