To minimize customer inconvenience, MTA Bridges and Tunnels, as a matter of policy, schedules roadway work during off-peak travel periods whenever it is safe and practical. The following are planned closures for necessary maintenance and construction.

Throgs Neck Bridge

Bronx-bound:
One lane on the Cross Island Parkway on-ramp to the bridge is open to traffic. Trucks entering from the Clearview Expressway should use the center lane for travel over the bridge.

Queens-bound:
Normal conditions for car and truck traffic with no new restrictions on trucks.

Cross Bay Veterans Memorial Bridge

Note: Ramp closures are scheduled for Mon., 11/23 and Tues., 11/24: Southbound exit ramp from the bridge to Beach Channel Drive East / Far Rockaway will be closed to traffic from 7 AM to 3 PM due to construction (weather-dependent). Detour signs will be posted. The section of the exit ramp leading to Rockaway Freeway will not be affected.
Ramp closures are scheduled for Mon., 11/23 through Wed., 11/25: Northbound entrance ramp to the bridge from Beach Channel Drive West will be closed to traffic from 9 AM to 3 PM on Mon. and Tues. and 9 AM to 12 PM on Wed. due to construction (weather-dependent). Detour signs will be posted.
Ramp closures are scheduled for Tues., 11/24 and Wed., 11/25: Southbound exit ramp from the bridge to Beach Channel Drive West will be closed to traffic from 7 AM to 3 PM on Tues. and 7 AM to 12 PM on Wed. due to construction (weather-dependent). Detour signs will be posted.
