Cashless Tolling

What has changed for Cash customers?
Cash toll payments are no longer accepted at the Henry Hudson. All drivers can now proceed through the toll plaza WITHOUT STOPPING AND USE ANY LANE. No changes for E-ZPass customers.

How Do I Pay Tolls?
Your toll can be paid with an MTA E-ZPass at the lower rate or the Tolls by Mail program at the higher cash rate.

What’s Tolls by Mail?
Vehicles without an E-ZPass are identified by license plate number and owners are mailed a bill. Tolls are charged at the higher cash rate. Unpaid bills are subject to late fees and violations.

Want to Use Cash?
Get an MTA E-ZPass and we’ll send you an MTA Reload Card that lets you add cash to your E-ZPass account at thousands of Visa ReadyLink® or MoneyGram® store locations. See a video and list of locations at www.mta.info/reload.

Get E-ZPass Now!
When you have an MTA E-ZPass, you save 45% on every Henry Hudson Bridge crossing (as well as saving at other MTA crossings).  Buy an E-ZPass loaded with prepaid tolls in ANY cash lane at any MTA crossing for $30 plus the toll.  Or contact us at the website or toll-free number below to get an E-ZPass.

I Use Rental Cars.  What Should I Do?

You do not need to own a vehicle to have an E-ZPass.  You can get an E-ZPass by following the instructions above, and then contact your rental car company to make sure you can use your own E-ZPass to save time and money.
