Job Description:
Prepare contract documents; solicit, award and administer contracts and contract amendments; schedule and track actions and assess priorities as necessary to meet Authority objectives within established policies and guidelines; interface with other MTA agencies to develop and participate in potential multi-agency contracts; determine methods of procurement; coordinate necessary justifications and determinations; negotiate consultant and contractor agreements, change orders, and work orders, and prepare responsibility recommendations. The position will be in a construction related work unit.
Desired Skills:
- Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) certificate as issued by the Universal Public Purchasing Certification Council or other nationally recognized professional certification
Qualification Requirements:
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and five to ten years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in writing, soliciting, negotiating and administering procurement documents for construction, general maintenance and personal service contracts, with at least eighteen months of administrative, managerial, executive or supervisory experience in related areas.
- A driver’s license valid in the State of New York is required.
