Job Description:
Under the direction of the Manager, Quality Program Controls, using Engineering and/or Construction knowledge, this position is charged with the responsibility to assure that the Quality and Safety Programs within the Engineering and Construction Department are implemented. Utilizing expert technical skills, the position is charged with the responsibility to perform Quality and Safety Audits of activities performed by In-House personnel, Consultants, Contractors and Manufactures to determine effectiveness and assure compliance to the E&C Quality Management System, Associated Procedures, Health and Safety Plans and Contract Requirements. The Senior QA Engineer is also responsible to prepare Quality Data Analysis Reports, perform testing of Internal Controls, review and approve Consultants and Contractors Quality Management Systems Manuals, assist the Manager, Quality Program Controls in the administration of the “All Agency Contractor Evaluation System” (ACE) Performance Evaluation System, and help maintain the ISO 9000 Department Registration.
Qualification Requirements:
- A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in Engineering (preferred), the physical science, mathematics or a related field, or a satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and education, plus 8 years practical experience in the Engineering, Design and/or Construction field, two (2) years of which must have been in a supervisory/management capacity.
- Experience in Quality Assurance, Auditing, Safety or Internal Controls Applications.
- A satisfactory combination of the above listed requirements.
- A driver’s license valid in the State of New York is required.
