Job Description:
Under direction of the Central Control Unit Management, with wide latitude for independent initiative and judgment, performs difficult professional work in the preparation and administration of departmental facility and/or maintenance budgets; performs traffic research and studies; performs analysis of facility operations as it relates to the organization and personnel/administrative work; performs business, operational and administrative analyses for the facility.  Develops and monitors annual budget for personnel, maintenance and materials; reviews operating expenditures; and performs cost benefit analyses for new initiatives.  Creates and maintains facility information and statistical databases and produces relevant reports.  Reviews KRONOS for accuracy of Pay/Leave Codes and Overtime.  Coordinates with the MTA Business Service Center, MTA B&T Payroll, Human Resources and Labor Relations

Specialized Knowledge: Five years proven record of accomplishment in the areas of Business Planning, Operations Management or Financial Analysis.  PC and software experience with Kronos, Peoplesoft, Access, Excel, Microsoft Word is preferred.  Excellent writing, communications and analytical skills in operational, administrative, and systems areas is preferred.  Operations experience is desirable.  Time and Leave/Kronos system, with thorough knowledge of the SOBA, BTOBA, Maintenance and Administrative union contracts, TBTA Rules & Regulations, Policy and Procedures.  Understanding of facility operations and possess more than a moderate level of expertise as it relates to Kronos, facility staffing, schedules and Operations scheduling initiatives.  Payroll and/or Human Resource background.
